Tawwaaf al-Qudum-Tawwaaf al-Widaa -`Umraah-Waqfaah-Wudu-Ziyaaraah-Zamzam-Zill Hajj
ARAFAH
Arafah-Arafaat is outside the boundaries of the Holy sanctuary. It is to the south east of the Sacred Mosque, and is 22 kilometers away from the Mosque. The area of this site is 10.4 square kilometers. Muslim pilgrims gather on Mount Arafah on the 9th day of Zill Hijjah they shorten and combine the Noon and Afternoon prayers....following the sunnat of our beloved Prophet Muhammad
[Sallal Laahu Alaiehi Wa Sallam].
   `EID AL ADHAA

The Islaamic public celebration of sacrifice performed on 10 Zill-Hijjah. An animal such as a sheep/goat/cow/camel is sacrificed
as a commemoration of Prophet Hazrat Ibraaheem's (peace and blessings be upon him) willingness to sacrifice his son 
Hazrat Ismaeel [Alaiehis Salaam] for  Almighty Allaah Kareem.

HAJRE ASWAD
It is a black stone which serves as a point for the pilgrims to begin from and end at it their Tawwaaf of the House of Allaah Almighty.
  According to the Ahadees, this stone got dark (black) due to the sins of the people. Meaning that it was shining white stone when it was sent to the earth but due to the touch of non-believers and sins of people it became dark. According to Ahadees if this has not been darkened due to sins and touch of non-believers, its shine would have been in the whole world. ....read on

 HALAQQ

The complete shaving of the head by the male pilgrim on the 10th of Zill-Hijjah.
This is the last thing he does before getting out of the state of Ihraam.
For female pilgrims, the requirements of halaqq and Taqseer are satisfied if they trim their hair by approximately half an inch.

MASJID AL HARAM SHAREEF

The mosque around the Kabaah in Makkah, also known as Al-Masjid Al-Haram...in Makkah,Arabia, is the holiest mosque in the world and the primary destination of the Hajj pilgrimage.
The mosque complex covers an area of 356,800 square meters and can accommodate up to 820,000 worshipers during the Hajj. The Holy Mosque is the only mosque that has no Qiblaa direction, since Muslims pray facing the Kabaah in the central courtyard.

HATEEM
 Hateem is an Arabic world which means wall. It has been  narrated in the Bukhaari Shareef and other books of Hadees that Mother of Muslims Hazrat Ummul Mu'mineen Saiyyidatunaa Aaishah Siddeeqah
[Radiyal Laahu 'Anhaa] asked Prophet Muhammad ﷺ [Peace be upon him] regarding the reality of Hateem; Prophet replied that Quraiesh had made a promise at the time of reconstruction of Kabaah that they will use only Halaal (lawful / according to Shariaah) earnings in the construction of Kabaah, they contributed from their Halaal savings but as they fell short of the funds to construct the Kabaah over the whole designated place so they left that place of Kabaah uncovered, meaning Hateem is actually internal and integral part of Kabaah.
IZTIBAA/IDTIBAA/ RAML

It denotes the act of placing [both ends of] sheet on the left shoulder passing under the right arm-pit before performing Tawaaf. Thus keeping the right shoulder bare.
Raml: The ritual in which male pilgrims are required to walk briskly with their chests thrust forward and with their shoulders rolling slightly during the first three circuits



IHRAAM
The distinctive garb of the male pilgrim worn during `Umrah or Hajj. It consists of two pieces of white, plain and unsewn cloth. The lower piece, called an izar, is wrapped around the midriff to cover the body from just above the navel to the ankles. The other piece, called a ridaa', is draped around the shoulders to cover the upper body. For women, their ordinary and unpretentious clothes of daily wear constitute their ihram. (2) The state of consecration of a pilgrim. While in ihram, the pilgrim may not use perfume or scented soap, shampoo, or lotion; engage in sexual intercourse or any type of foreplay; clip the nails; pluck, cut, or shave the hair.
JAMARAAT
The three stone pillars in Mina that symbolically represent the locations where the devil [Shaietaan] tried to tempt Prophet Hazrat Ibraaheem (peace and blessings be upon him) away from the path of Allaah. Kareem. The pilgrim stones these pillars on the 10th through the 13th of Zill-Hijjah in commemoration of the rejection of the devil by Prophet Ibraaheem and of his steadfastness to the cause of Allaah Kareem. The Jamaraat are located within a few hundred feet of one another in a line.


KA'BAH
 This is the house of Allaah Almighty, Muslims from all over the world visit it for Umraah, Ziaarat and Hajj. It was built by Prophet Hazrat Ibraheem (peace and blessings be upon him) and his eldest son Hazrat Isma`eel [Alaiehis Salaam]. It is now housed within Al-Haram Ash-Shareef in Makkah. During Hajj and `Umraah, the essential rite of Tawwaaf is performed around the Ka`bah. Every day, millions of Muslims perform Prayers (salah) facing the direction of the Ka`bah....read on

IZAAR


Lower cloth of the male pilgrim's clothes.
ISTILAAM
The act of kissing the Black Stone Al-Hajar Al-Aswad at the beginning and the end of every circuit of the Ka`bah during Tawwaaf. If it is not possible to kiss the Black Stone for any reason, the pilgrim may extend his hand to touch the Black Stone and then kiss his own hand. If even that is not possible, he may raise his hand towards the Black Stone and then kiss his own hand.





KISWAAH
The black cloth that drapes the Ka`bah. It is embroidered in gold thread with the Shahaadah, praises of Allaah [Ta'aalaa], and verses of the Qur'aan...
